Sunday Stash 10/12/14

Boy did I ever add to the stash this week!!!  First things first.  I WON This lovely jelly roll of LOL by Me and My Sister Designs from their giveaway last week!  Just guess how excited I was to open this box.  And it was padded with a TON of their scraps!  Call me a happy quilter!!!

The scraps are all width of fabric and are everything from strings to 9" wide.  I was so thrilled with this.  Especially given that Bonnie Hunter announced her mystery this week and the scraps here are perfect for it.

Now last week, I shared a ton of fabric that we picked up at the Quilt Haus in New Braunfels from their sales table.  One of them was a blue fabric from Wyndham called That's A Morre.  Mom was going nuts all day Sunday that we hadn't picked up more of it so she called them Monday.  Low and behold, they were all out of the blue, but they did have it in violet and cranberry so mom bought what was left on the bolts!  I drove up there after work Monday and picked this up:

I'm actually really glad she did because that violet is already pulled for a project (more on that in Design Wall Monday).  While at the Quilt Haus, I got an email from my friend Le Ann over at Persimmon Quilts asking if I was ready to test her next mystery quilt.  Well I got all excited and couldn't wait to go through my stash for the fabric pull.  When I finally did, I noticed that I really didn't have enough of anything in a proper green for the mystery so a shopping trip was in order. So Mom and I headed up to Valli & Kim on Saturday up in Dripping Springs.  I love this shop.  It has to be my new "local" favorite.  I got this green Weave by Moda as well as a background fabric for a Super Mario quilt for my nephew.  The blue is Bahama Blue by Kona.

While I was out shopping, I couldn't resist picking up a few things to add to my stash to use for Bonnie's mystery:

For anyone that follows my blog, you all know, Mom loves to buy fabric but hates to sew, which really works well for me.  She picked up these goodies on Saturday (so of course they came home with me!):

And last but not least, we watched a demo on Saturday at Valli & Kim and were given free fat quarters for our time:

See!  Told you I had a lot come in this week!!  Now to get to the sewing machine and start using this stuff!
